ASA launched the project of Physiotherapy/Yoga as pilot in last February 2012. Since then more than 1,000 patients are treated through such modern facilities. Most of the target people are poor rural and mostly the member & their relatives of ASA microfinance program. The treatment itself is highly expansive however ASA offers it on free of cost to the patient. The fund of the project is mostly generated from the own fund of ASA.
The operation is run through professionals all over the country. The program coordinator arranges at least three days campaign in each pre-selected location. The primary objective of such campaign is to provide health education and prevention diseases through regular habitants. Peoples are mostly offered free hand exercise technique for home use. In addition to that, the patients are provided a full diagnosis to modern cure assistances as required. Such treatment often might require electro equipments such as Ultra Sound Therapy or UST, Infra Red Radiation or IRR, Trans-cutenous Electrical Nerve Stimulator or TENS, Muscle Stimulator etc. If necessary the patients are provided with oral medicine for better cure.
The disabled are often taught new technique of free hand exercise to improve their life style. The other patients are mostly treated for Back pain (Upper, Lower), Neck pain, Knee pain, Traumatic pain, Elbow pain, Paralysis patient, Cerebral pulse, OA, RA etc. The often serious or vulnerable patients are referred to specialized doctor for better and regular treatment; however the ratio is as little as 20% of the total patient.
